Overview
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Travel assignment in a hospital ED near Clifton Springs, NY. Start date July 21, 2026 for an 8-week contract with the possibility of extension. Shift is 3x12 rotating nights and mids (1900-0700 and 1100-2300). Weekly pay ranges from $1,798 to $1,861 per week. No guaranteed hours. This position requires EPIC charting in a fast-paced, all-ages ED with an integrated CPEP behavioral health area.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED and CPEP behavioral health area for patients of all ages, including triage and medical clearance.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, assist with airway management and IV access, and support ventilated patients as appropriate.
- Collaborate with patient care technicians, respiratory, pharmacy, social services, interpreters, and the rapid response team; coordinate care with the CPEP behavioral health team when needed.
- Document assessments, interventions, and dispositions in EPIC accurately and in a timely manner; ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Manage a dynamic ED environment, including standing by for procedures, basic wound care, phlebotomy, and IV/vasopressor support as directed.
- Provide care to a broad patient population (infants through geriatrics) and support behavioral health crises within the CPEP space with appropriate safety measures.
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; ED/trauma and/or CPEP experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS (per posting)
- EPIC experience required; charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to float to ED/CPEP areas and manage triage, medical clearance, and ED workflows
- Willingness to work 3x12 night/mid shifts; every other weekend
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Pre-start modules and orientation may be required; background checks reviewed case-by-case
