It is a Level II trauma center and has been recognized for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women's health, heart & vascular, and cancer care.

Scope of work

Works under the direction of the Operating Room Attendant Supervisor. Turnover the OR room, wipe all the equipment down in the OR room, mop the floors. Restock supplies and housekeeping carts. Pick up patient beds for the surgeries of the day. Makes runs to the Lab and Blood Bank when requested by the OR room. Provide the highest quality of service delivered efficiently, effectively, and compassionately as outline in our standards 100% of the time.

Essential Duties:

  • Case Cart & Equipment Handling

    • Deliver and disinfect case carts; return dirty carts to CPD.
    • Dock Neptunes for cleaning.
    • Transport dirty scopes and biohazard bins between Cysto and CPD.
  • OR Room Turnover & Patient Support

    • Clean and reset OR rooms between cases (wipe equipment, mop floors).
    • Assist with patient transfers post-surgery.
    • Set up rooms with equipment for upcoming procedures.
  • Linen & Waste Management

    • Dispose of dirty linen and garbage properly.
    • Restock clean linen and replace soiled bags in OR cores.
  • Supply & Equipment Maintenance

    • Restock general supplies (foam, gloves, masks, specimen cups).
    • Maintain housekeeping carts, mops, buckets, and Formalin.
    • Clean and organize storage areas and equipment.
    • Report broken equipment to appropriate personnel.
  • Lab & Blood Bank Support

    • Make runs to Lab and Blood Bank as needed.
    • Participate in Massive Blood Transfusion Protocol when required.
  • Service Standards

    • Deliver services efficiently, effectively, and compassionately in alignment with organizational standard

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required

  • Six months to one year prior OR assistant experience is Preferred
