CONSULTANT: TICKET AND SPONSORSHIP SALES (STETSON UNIVERSITY) DeLand, FL On Site
THE RUNDOWN: Playfly Sports is looking for a Consultant: Ticket and Sponsorship Sales to join our Stetson Athletics team in DeLand, FL. The Consultant will be responsible for generating new revenue across Stetson Athletics' ticketing and sponsorship portfolio while building relationships with fans, businesses, and organizations throughout the Central Florida community. This role will manage and grow an assigned portfolio of ticket buyers while generating new business through Stetson Athletics' full menu of products, including season tickets, premium and courtside seating, B2B group experiences, partial plans, and single-game tickets. The Consultant will also prospect for and develop sponsorship opportunities in strategic categories identifying ways to align the business with Stetson Athletics. The candidate will take the time to understand a customer's or organization's goals and identify the right solution. The Consultant will work closely with the Director of Sponsorships & Ticket Sales to develop opportunities, pursue new business, and grow long-term relationships that create value for both Stetson Athletics and its partners.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:
• Renew, retain, and grow an assigned portfolio of season ticket members and ticket buyers.
• Generate new revenue through the sale of Stetson Athletics' full menu of ticket products, including season tickets, premium and courtside seating, group experiences, partial plans, and single-game tickets.
• Prospect for new sponsorship opportunities and build relationships with local businesses and prospective partners.
• Identify opportunities for businesses to utilize Stetson Athletics for client entertainment, employee engagement, hospitality, community outreach, and broader sponsorship opportunities.
• Conduct phone outreach, in-person appointments, facility tours, presentations, networking meetings, and other business development activities.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Sponsorships & Ticket Sales to develop and pursue sponsorship opportunities.
• Manage and grow existing customer relationships through renewals, upgrades, cross selling, additional purchases, and referrals.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate customer and prospect records within the CRM and ticketing database.
• Meet established ticket revenue, sponsorship, member retention, and new business goals.
• Work home athletic events and other Stetson Athletics events while supporting sales, service, and relationship-building initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Can-Do, Make-It-Happen attitude.
• Previous experience in ticket sales, sponsorship sales, sports sales, business development, account management, or another relationship-driven sales environment preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• A consultative sales mindset with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend the right solution.
• Comfort prospecting and developing new business through phone, email, networking, and face-to-face meetings.
• Ability to manage an active sales pipeline and customer portfolio.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required by the Stetson Athletics schedule.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE: Success in this role means growing revenue and relationships. The Consultant will build and retain a strong customer portfolio while creating new opportunities across ticket sales, premium seating, groups, community experiences, and sponsorship sales. A relationship may begin with tickets. The opportunity is to understand where it can go from there.
