Job description

Job Purpose: The Account Executive, New Business is responsible for generating ticket revenue through proactive new business development and full menu ticket sales, with a primary focus on selling full season memberships, partial plans, and courtside seating products for the Dallas Wings. This role is responsible for driving new business through outbound B2C and B2B prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, face-to-face appointments, and other sales initiatives. The Account Executive will also be responsible for servicing partial plans and group sales.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Execute sales strategies, campaigns, and training initiatives established by leadership. *
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue goals through full menu selling, with a primary emphasis on full season memberships, partial plans, and courtside seating products. *
  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound B2C and B2B prospecting efforts, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and face-to-face meetings. *
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and cultivating new prospects and corporate decision-makers. *
  • Sell a full menu of ticket products, including season memberships, partial plans, group tickets, courtside seating, and other hospitality offerings. *
  • Maintain or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly hustle metrics, including outbound calls, conversations, appointments, presentations, and other sales activities as defined by leadership.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to assigned accounts, ensuring a positive fan experience and increasing retention opportunities. *
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities, prospecting efforts, and customer interactions within CRM. *
  • Execute account growth strategies through upgrades and cross-selling.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with local businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders to generate sales opportunities. *
  • Participate and contribute to weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and team huddles.
  • Represent the organization at networking functions, community events, and off-site promotional activities to generate leads and new business opportunities.
  • Follow all CRM standards, sales processes, and contact management guidelines established by leadership. *
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Game Day Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Entertain prospective clients and existing customers to create, cultivate, and close new business opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, members, and fans.
  • Support ticket sales activations, prospect events, and lead generation opportunities during games and special events.
  • Float to other areas as needed once primary responsibilities are completed.
  • Must be available to attend all Dallas Wings home games and participate in community events, networking functions, and team-sponsored activities as assigned.
  • Prolonged standing, walking, and extended work hours.
  • Must be available to attend all home games for Dallas Wings, as well as attend most community events. Games & events may take place on nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Requirements:
  • Formal Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant Work Experience:
  • 1+ years of sports sales experience and/or relevant experience required
  • Sports experience preferred
  • Work Location & Hours: Work is performed in the community, office and/or at one of the arenas as determined necessary by the Company. Must be available to attend all home games for Dallas Wings, as well as attend company events. Games & events may take place on nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Hearing, seeing, reading, writing, concentration, comprehension, and talking with clear speech.
  • Planning, organizing, interpreting data, making decisions, problem-solving, and composure under deadlines/stress.
