Job description

Beechmont Country Club is seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent in Training to join the Agronomy Team. This position reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents and provides comprehensive, hands-on experience at a high-level private facility.
Club Overview
Founded in 1923, Beechmont Country Club is a premier private club with a long-standing reputation for championship golf and exceptional member experience. Following a recent golf course renovation and bunker modernization project, the club continues to invest heavily in course conditions and long-term master planning.
Position Summary
Beechmont Country Club is seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent in Training to join the Agronomy Team. This position reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents and provides comprehensive, hands-on experience at a high-level private facility.
This role is ideal for a driven individual looking to gain exposure to all facets of golf course management, including grow-in management following recent renovations, irrigation troubleshooting, and tournament preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, rough, and newly renovated bunkers
Support irrigation system operation, repair, and troubleshooting
Assist in planning and executing agronomic programs
Participate in tournament preparation to deliver championship conditions
Support grow-in and continued recovery from recent course renovations
Assist with ongoing master plan and construction projects
Follow and uphold all safety policies and procedures
Work effectively within a team-oriented environment
Qualifications
Self-starter with strong attention to detail
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Passion for the golf course industry
Golf course or landscaping experience preferred but not required
Currently pursuing (or interested in pursuing) a Turfgrass or related degree is a plus
Willingness to learn and embrace club culture
