Job Description

The Full Time Remote Course Manager provides academic leadership and oversight for online pre-licensure nursing courses, ensuring consistent, high-quality course delivery aligned with program outcomes. This role leverages expertise in online education, clinical practice, and course management to support faculty performance, student success, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with faculty and cross-functional teams, the Course Manager ensures course standardization, monitors performance data, and enhances the overall learning experience in a dynamic online environment.

  • Maintain assigned teaching load while delivering high-quality, student-centered online instruction aligned with best practices in pedagogy and instructional design.
  • Serve as the lead subject matter expert, ensuring consistency, rigor, and standardization of course design, delivery, and assessment across all sections.
  • Provide academic leadership for adjunct faculty, including hiring, onboarding, assignment recommendations, and ongoing performance support.
  • Lead faculty development initiatives, including course-specific training, mentorship, and facilitation of regular faculty meetings.
  • Oversee course quality and integrity, including approval of instructional materials, syllabi, and course readiness prior to term launch.
  • Drive continuous course improvement by partnering with instructional design and academic stakeholders to align curriculum with program outcomes and best practices.
  • Ensure integration and alignment of didactic, simulation, lab, and clinical components in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide oversight of assessment processes, including exam development, review, validation, and coordination with exam analytics.
  • Monitor student performance trends and learning analytics, implementing strategies to improve outcomes and supporting at-risk students in collaboration with NCLEX Success teams.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with faculty and students, foster engagement, clarity, and timely issue resolution.
  • Guide faculty in remediation strategies, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with academic policies.
  • Analyze course and program data (including end-of-course feedback) to develop actionable insights and formal evaluation reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in nursing education, healthcare practice, and educational technology to inform innovation and continuous improvement.

* Please note:

  • Experience working as a pediatric nurse (min 5 years) and teaching peds (min 3 years) is required
  • This position is Full Time and Remote
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing required; doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) preferred.
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in applicable states (CA, NV, MI, and Compact States) or ability to obtain prior to hire.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience with demonstrated expertise in a specialty area.
  • Experience teaching in an online or blended environment, with proficiency in learning management systems and educational technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in course coordination, curriculum oversight, or academic leadership within nursing education.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and support faculty and student success.
  • Experience using data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
