Description
Responsibilities:
  • Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
  • Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
  • Stocks stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary inventory, dishes, and utensils.
  • Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
  • Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
  • May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
  • Complete daily and periodic cleaning assignments
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment. Follow state and county sanitation regulations
  • Perform tasks using appropriate safety equipment and follow all safety standards
  • Report all issues found that relate to patient care, safety, and sanitation to appropriate authority and direct supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to understand and meet kitchen standards for health, safety, and excellence.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused on an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
  • Ability to work effectively with other staff.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to self-manage, and find appropriate activities.
  • Current Clay County food handler's permit or Serve Safe required within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to utilize computer programs for email, reporting, and patient care. Ability to work in uncomfortable conditions (hot or cold). Ability to lift, pull, or push 50lbs without assistance.
