About the Position
Are you looking to launch your career in IT project management while working on one of the most significant technology transformations in our organization? We are seeking an IT Project Manager I to support the TWO: The Cloud Program - a multi-year strategic initiative focused on transforming Snohomish County PUD's core enterprise systems to the cloud. This program modernizes how we deliver services, improves efficiency and enables future innovation.
This is a two-year, time-limited opportunity designed for individuals early in their project manager careers who want hand-on experience in a complex, enterprise-scale transformation. The selected candidate will work under the direction of senior project managers and support the IT Program Director in delivering critical program outcomes. This role provides exceptional exposure, mentorship, and experience.
About our Team
As an IT Project Manager I, you will support delivery of technology projects and program workstreams by:
  • Assisting senior project managers in planning, organizing, and executing project activities across the full lifecycle
  • Supporting project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, status reporting and tracking risks, issues and dependencies
  • Coordinating with cross functional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Applying structured project management practices (Agile, waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
  • Supporting organizational change management and communications planning

This is a developmental role offering hands-on experience building foundational project management skills in a high-visibility program.

Experience/Education
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;

  • Four (4) years of directly related experience managing projects and/or teams.
