Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

At the City of Richmond, we work diligently and collectively as one organization to continue Richmond's legacy of being a wonderful community for employees, citizens, and visitors to work, play, and live. The Wastewater Treatment Department is recruiting for "Wastewater Operator I/. "

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Wastewater Operator is responsible for assisting in the complete operations of the wastewater treatment facilities in a manner that ensures safe and properly treated wastewater in accordance with standards, legal requirements, and City policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Relatable Work Experience:

  • 2 years of utility or plumbing experience preferred.

Training (License and/or Certification):

  • Required to have a Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
  • Valid Class "D" Wastewater Treatment Operations Certification through TCEQ or ability to obtain within 1 year.
