Job Description:
The UF Health Cancer Institute is the 72nd NCI designated cancer center and the only one at a public university in the State of Florida. As a matrix cancer center, we span all of the University of Florida's 16 colleges, pulling together a world-class, multi-disciplinary membership of over 350 faculty and 150 staff to address the challenges of the cancer burden faced by the population we serve as we work together to find a cure.
As an OnCore Analyst I at the UF Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI), you will be responsible for independently building calendars and budgets in UF's Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) for the University of Florida Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI).
In your new role you will be responsible for the following:
  • Build and maintain clinical trial calendars and protocol budget shells within the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) to support study activation, billing compliance, budgeting, and participant management.
  • Collaborate with research teams, finance, contracting, and coverage analysis staff to ensure protocol calendars and budgets are accurate, compliant, and updated throughout the lifecycle of each clinical trial.
  • Assist with Medicare Coverage Analyses, troubleshoot calendar and budget issues, and support quality assurance efforts to ensure accurate clinical research operations.
  • Provide CTMS training and technical support to study teams, contribute to standard operating procedures and workflow documentation, and assist with system testing and validation during upgrades and new functionality implementations.

This is an entry-level professional position, ideal for candidates with an interest in developing a career in clinical research administration, healthcare operations, or research technology. Employees in these roles operate as part of our collaborative research enterprise and are fundamental to the progress of cancer research being conducted at the University of Florida. Required Qualifications:
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare, clinical research, research administration, or related business processes.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, tasks, or deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret detailed information and identify solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Professional clinical research and/or oncology certification (through SOCRA, ACRP, etc.) are required at the earliest of 12 months from hire or eligibility.
Preferred:
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Systems, Clinical Research, or a related field.
  • Experience working in clinical research, research administration, or an academic medical center, including familiarity with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) such as OnCore.
  • Exposure to clinical trial budgeting, Medicare Coverage Analysis, protocol review, or clinical research finance and operations.
