A nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level associate to join its sophisticated Real Estate & Development Practice in one of the following offices: Washington, DC; Boston; Providence; Stamford; Hartford; or New York City.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercial real estate finance attorney seeking high-level transactional work, meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and a collaborative culture within an Affordable Housing & Finance practice.

The group represents institutional lenders, mortgage banks, investment banks, nonprofit lenders, and government-sponsored entities in complex multifamily and affordable housing finance transactions nationwide. The team closes several hundred transactions annually involving billions of dollars in financing and is widely recognized for its depth of experience, efficiency, responsiveness, and practical business-oriented approach.

Attorneys in the practice work on sophisticated matters involving the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, development, and preservation of affordable, mixed-income, and mixed-use housing projects across the country.

Representative Experience May Include

  • Commercial real estate finance transactions
  • Real estate due diligence
  • Title and survey review
  • Drafting and negotiating loan documents
  • Condominium and zoning review
  • Construction and rehabilitation financing
  • Tax-exempt bond financings
  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac transactions
  • Experience with affordable housing and multifamily finance matters is a plus

Salary Information
For New York, Massachusetts, and Washington, DC applicants, the target base salary range for this position is approximately $202,500 to $227,500, depending on experience, class year, qualifications, and office location.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least four years of commercial real estate finance experience
  • Strong transactional fundamentals and drafting skills
  • Experience with or exposure to title and survey review, loan documentation, and real estate due diligence
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple transactions efficiently and collaboratively
  • Admission in the state of their primary office location
