MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

As an Oracle Database Analyst, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.

You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas:

  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle database systems to ensure high performance, security, and availability.
  • Design and implement database schemas, monitor database health, and perform routine backups and recovery operations to safeguard mission-critical data.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues, manage user access and permissions, and optimize queries to enhance system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards while staying current on updates, patches, and advancements in Oracle technologies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Technical training (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI and may be required to undergo a Counterintelligence (CI)-scope polygraph
  • Required Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation certified within 9 months of start; Cloud+, Security+, SSCP or GSEC within 6 months of start.
  • Location: Offutt AFB, NE
  • Oracle database administration (installation, configuration, tuning)
  • Required Experience with: Data Guard, RAC, Multitenant, ASM, OEM
  • SQL and PL/SQL proficiency
  • Performance monitoring and optimization
  • Backup, recovery, and disasterrecovery planning
  • Schema design and data modeling
  • Troubleshooting and rootcause analysis
  • Security management, access control, and compliance
  • Patch management and staying current with Oracle updates
  • Understanding of highavailability architectures
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

The likely salary range for this position is $129,813 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
