Job description


The Count Team Member counts monies from bill validators (slot machines), all Table Game boxes, and non-gaming retail areas.
Hours: Sunday & Thursdays 1am-12pm, all other days 8am-9:30am
Responsibilities
  • Transfers carts to and from the Count Room and sets Bill Validator Boxes in the appropriate slot machines.
  • Performs the Bill Validator collection process.
  • Collection, sorting, and accounting of various monies for multiple departments.
  • Performs minor repairs and maintenance of Count Room equipment.
  • Notifies Count Room Supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Adheres to safety, security, regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Cooperative while working with employees within the department, as well as other departments.
  • Maintains Count Room in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Able to provide superior guest service and capability to deal with difficult interactions
  • Other duties Assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be able to retain a class "C" gaming license from the state of Iowa
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Excel
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Basic mechanical (repair) skills helpful and preferred
  • Must be flexible and able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to communicate in a friendly and respectable manner
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance
    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be able to maneuver in and around all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to work effectively in high traffic areas
  • Must be able to push and pull carts up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. of boxes.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (6 to 7 hours) of time.
  • Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright light.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessary.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
