Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills to external and internal guests by displaying Spotlight on Success behaviors.  Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.  Utilizes smiles and frequent eye contact and friendly tone of voice to project warmth and friendliness.  Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates customer wins.  Is ready to serve and is well informed of daily facility hours of operation, promotional programs and any other relevant valuable guest information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting.  Anticipates needs of the guest and provides fast, flawless service.  Executes all service programs to assure prioritization of service to the very best guests.  Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist.  Promotes Caesars Rewards program sand Caesars Rewards registration and membership.  Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting.  Promotes Harrah’s and always projects Harrah’s in a positive light to guests.

Participates in the collection of slot machine droboxes.  Sorts, counts, straps and records the contents of slot drop according to procedure. Compares information contained in drop boxes to data stored on computer terminal.  Participates in reading and recording slot machine meters.  Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of soft count room equipment.  Maintains general upkeep of soft count rooms.  Notifies Supervisor of malfunctioning equipment. 

Issues beginning of day impressments bags for racing tellers, program sellers and global cash bags. Completes the collection of cash from the racing self-service drop boxes machines (BAM’s) and the applicable verification paperwork.  Sorts, counts, straps and records the contents of the racing self-service drop boxes machines (BAM’s). Verifies cash and information contained in racing teller, program sellers and global cash pages.  Completes shift change and end of day balancing reports. Responsible for running end of day reports in racing system. Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of soft count room equipment.  Maintains general upkeep soft count rooms.

Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.  Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure.  Uses Spotlight on Success behaviors when encountering guests. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages other to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Highschool diploma or equivalent experience preferred.  A minimum of 1-2 years related experience required.  Ability to communicate withal levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner.  Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.  Must present a well-groomed appearance.  Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and respond to visual and aural cues.  Must-have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.  Must be self-motivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping.  Excellent customer service skills a must.

Can work in smoke-filled environment and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. 

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
