Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC) is a growing multidisciplinary mental health organization serving communities across Wisconsin through outpatient clinics, school-based services, and statewide telehealth programs. We are seeking a motivated Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training (LPC-IT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker In-Training (LCSW-IT) to join our Madison team. This unique opportunity provides supervised clinical training in both psychotherapy and psychological assessment services, allowing clinicians to develop a diverse and highly marketable skill set.
Position Overview
Psychotherapists-In Training at BHC gain supervised experience providing psychotherapy services in a private practice setting while also receiving training and hands-on experience in psychological testing and assessment.
This role is ideal for clinicians seeking comprehensive post-graduate training and mentorship within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Clinical Training OpportunitiesPsychotherapy Experience
Provide supervised psychotherapy services including:
- Individual therapy
- Family therapy
- Couples therapy
- Group therapy
Common referral concerns include:
- Anxiety disorders
- Mood disorders
- Childhood behavioral concerns
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Eating disorders
- Adjustment disorders
- Trauma-related concerns
Group Therapy Opportunities
Current treatment groups include:
- Social Skills Groups
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Groups
Clinicians are encouraged to develop and facilitate additional groups based on their interests, experience, and developing competencies.
Psychometrist amp; Psychological Testing Training
In addition to therapy services, clinicians will receive supervised training and experience in psychological assessment, including:
- ADHD evaluations
- Learning disability assessments
- Developmental disorder evaluations
- Executive functioning assessments
- Cognitive assessments
- Anxiety and mood disorder evaluations
- Pre-adoption evaluations
- Pre-surgical psychological evaluations

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related behavioral health field
- Active Wisconsin LPC-IT or LCSW-IT credential
- Eligible to provide outpatient psychotherapy services under supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based and ethical clinical practice
- Desire to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families
- Interest in psychological testing and assessment
- Interest in developing specialty clinical expertise
