Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Position Summary

Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, the COTA is responsible for the provision of occupational therapy treatment programs as planned by the Occupational Therapist.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Position Requirements

Education

  • Education High School or four year technical school plus up to two years training in a specialty or two years of college or comparable education.
  • Current Maryland or Delaware Licensure depending on work location. Licensure requires 12 continuing education contact hours per one (1) year.
  • BLS CPR certification through American Heart Association.

Experience

  • Previous experience preferred.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Work Schedule

  • Expected to work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
  • Must be willing to work in an emergency.
