Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients with physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing interventions, and documenting patient progress.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current certification as a COTA
  • Valid state license to practice as a COTA in North Carolina
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Assist occupational therapists in evaluating patients' functional abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and independence
  • Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare team members
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and activities
