Global Head of Growth, Amazon & Marketplaces

Made In Cookware

Austin, TX • On-site

Full-time

Medical, Retirement

Posted 5 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Own and manage the Amazon business end-to-end, including P&L, growth roadmap, and channel strategy.

  • Execute marketplace operations such as catalog management, listings, search optimization, content creation, and advertising.

  • Lead international marketplace launches and oversee localization, operational setup, and market expansion.

Job description

*This role is based in our Austin HQ. The team works in office Monday–Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Made In is looking for a Global Head of Growth, Amazon & Marketplaces to own and scale our third-party marketplace business as a full P&L, starting with Amazon US and owning our international footprint (Canada, UK, Australia, Europe, and more).

This is a builder's seat. You'll operate as the general manager of the channel: strategy, execution, and financial outcomes, in tight partnership with brand, merchandising, supply chain, and performance marketing. Made In has scaled as a DTC-first, restaurant-credibility brand: professional-grade cookware trusted by 4,000+ restaurants and 150+ James Beard-recognized chefs. Your job is to translate that equity into a global marketplace channel.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Amazon business end-to-end (global): P&L, growth roadmap, and channel strategy
  • Set and defend marketplace pricing and assortment strategy so Amazon complements, rather than undercuts, DTC and wholesale (Crate & Barrel, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Costco)
  • Run Seller Central operations: catalog, listings, keyword and search strategy, PDP and A+ content, Brand Store
  • Own onsite conversion-rate optimization (CRO) strategy: content requests, content optimization, and testing
  • Own Amazon Advertising and marketplace performance, with hands-on oversight of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP, and AMC — coordinating with the existing paid social/search team so marketplace spend and brand-site spend aren't competing for the same demand. Evaluate advertising alongside pricing, Buy Box, listing health, content, conversion, organic rank, inventory, contribution margin, and incremental growth.
  • Own FBA strategy — demand planning, inbound placement and inventory positioning, in-stock performance, and cost mitigation (freight, fees, placement)
  • Set growth priorities, performance targets, and execution roadmaps across marketplace channels (Amazon, Walmart, eBay)
  • Stand up international marketplace presence — sequencing, localization, and operational setup for Canada, UK, Australia, and future markets (China under evaluation)
  • Monitor competitors and marketplace trends
  • Protect brand integrity on-platform: enforce MAP, monitor unauthorized sellers/resellers, and manage fraud and counterfeit risk (building on existing fraud-prevention work)
  • Manage external agency and platform partners; bring the right things in-house as the channel scales
  • Partner cross-functionally with Brand, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, and Performance Marketing to align investment, pricing, and growth priorities
  • Build dashboards and reporting that tie marketplace performance into company-wide revenue and marketing measurement; regularly present results, risks, and strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Represent the channel to executive leadership as the accountable owner

What We're Looking For

  • 7–10+ years in e-commerce/marketplace management, with deep hands-on Amazon experience (Seller Central)
  • Track record scaling a marketplace business to $100M+ in revenue, ideally in a premium/DTC-heritage physical product brand (housewares, kitchen, or adjacent categories a plus)
  • Experience owning a P&L, not just running campaigns
  • Fluency across the full Amazon stack: search/SEO, content, retail media, FBA/supply chain, and platform operations
  • International marketplace launch experience (UK/EU, Canada, Australia) strongly preferred
  • Experience protecting brand pricing/positioning in a marketplace environment — you understand the tension between growth and brand equity, and know how to manage it
  • Comfortable managing agencies and cross-functional stakeholders while staying hands-on with the day-to-day
  • A builder mindset: this channel needs someone who'll build the playbook, not just execute one that already exists

Why This Role Stands Out

  • True end-to-end ownership of a major growth channel at a fast-growing, founder-led brand
  • Direct visibility with the CEO and executive team
  • A brand with real credibility to work with — restaurant and chef trust as built-in proof, not a story to manufacture
  • Ground-floor opportunity to build international marketplace presence from scratch

Benefits We Offer

  • Competitive salary, 401k, healthcare benefits (including fertility and family-building care, mental health therapy, teladoc virtual health access along with HSA and FSA plans) and free and discounted cookware
  • A people-centric workplace with flexible time off
  • A vibrant, lively office space in the heart of South Austin which includes our onsite studio kitchen
