Cost accounting methods include standard costing, activity-based costing, and marginal costing, among others.

Will cost accountants be replaced by AI?

Cost accountants perform analysis and oversight of financial data related to costs, and while AI can automate routine tasks like data entry and basic reporting, it is unlikely to fully replace the need for human judgment, strategic thinking, and complex decision-making skills in the profession. Professionals in this field will increasingly use AI tools to enhance efficiency but will still require expertise to interpret data and ensure accuracy.
