Job description

Cost Accounting Analyst II- Philadelphia, PA


A global, established company is adding a Cost Accounting Analyst II to its Plant Operations / Cost Accounting team. They're specifically targeting candidates with a Cost Accounting or Manufacturing Financial Analyst background who want to take on a highly operational finance role.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly cost and variance analysis across Plant Operations
  • Analyze COGS, manufacturing variances, inventory variances, and operational costs
  • Support month-end close, accruals, and cost accounting reporting
  • Monitor inventory, material costs, goods receipts, and cycle counts
  • Partner with Operations, Materials, Procurement, and cost center owners to understand cost drivers and variances
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for plant operations
  • Utilize SAP and Excel for cost center, inventory, and financial analysis
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost visibility, reporting, and financial processes


What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of Cost Accounting or Manufacturing Finance experience
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
  • Public accounting candidates with significant manufacturing clients also encouraged
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong SAP and Excel skills
