Job description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and deliver electrical solutions that improve manufacturing performance, enhance process efficiency, and support technology advancement in a dynamic production environment. You will lead and support capital projects from concept through installation and start-up, partnering with internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution of electrical systems and equipment upgrades at a St. Louis manufacturing facility. This role includes a balanced mix of office-based engineering work and hands-on time on the manufacturing floor supporting project execution and commissioning activities

What you'll do:

  • Lead and support electrical engineering design and execution for capital improvement projects across the facility
  • Develop and implement electrical systems supporting new equipment installations, facility upgrades, and process improvements 
  • Design human machine interface panels and programmable logic controller systems using Allen-Bradley platforms 
  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable engineering and safety standards 
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and contractor performance while providing clear updates to leadership 
  • Oversee external engineering and construction partners throughout project execution and start-up 
  • Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and environmental health and safety teams

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, preferably with five or more years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and industrial electrical standards, including experience with arc flash analysis software and electrical safety evaluations 
  • Ability to interpret, update, and manage engineering drawings, blueprints, and facility documentation 
  • Proficiency with computer aided design software, including AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead cross functional collaboration and manage multiple priorities 
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can think independently while also working effectively as part of a team
