Labcorp's Central Laboratory Services (CLS) Global Study Operations team is seeking a remote Technical Specialist Supervisor. This leader will oversee daily operations for a customerfocused technical team, ensuring strong execution, consistent quality, and exceptional service delivery across global clinical trial support activities.

Job Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Supervise daytoday activities for assigned customer or functional team members.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project plans and service level commitments.
  • Balance workload within the team and support global resource planning.
  • Ensure seamless integration of team services and consistent use of SOPs.
  • Track progress against goals, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain timely communication, adherence to procedures, and alignment with departmental strategy.

Talent Development

  • Build and develop a skilled workforce aligned with growth plans and budget.
  • Set clear performance objectives, provide coaching, and address performance gaps.
  • Deliver thorough, timely performance evaluations and interim reviews.
  • Ensure accountability for team outcomes and take corrective action when appropriate.

Quality, Continuous Improvement & Issue Management

  • Oversee resolution of customer complaints, issues, and concerns in partnership with Project Management leadership.
  • Document issues and leverage insights to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure service failures are identified, tracked, resolved, and mitigated through preventative actions.
  • Promote a culture of quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Customer Delivery & Relationship Management

  • Apply best practices in budget oversight, risk management, and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure systems (e.g. Workfront) accurately reflect workload and timelines.
  • Lead client relationship activities and adapt approach based on customer needs.
  • Communicate proactively with customers and consult on the impact of their decisions.
  • Understand how each customer defines success and tailor processes and interactions accordingly while maintaining global consistency.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Partner with project management leadership to support daily team operations.
  • Work with Business Development Directors to understand customer culture and evolving needs.
  • Collaborate across CLS functions and business units to remove barriers and optimize delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in a scientific or laboratory environment
  • 1 or more years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 or more years of experience working with and optimizing databases
  • 1 or more years of experience working in clinical research or drug development
