Job description

Join Our Team as a Part Time Correctional Officer! Get paid to train!

Starting pay $24.00/hr. We also offer night shift differential of $1 per hour.

Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a positive impact on your community? South West Multi-County Correction Center is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Correctional Officers. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility while also providing guidance and support to those in our care.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor inmates to ensure a safe and secure environment
Enforce facility rules and regulations with fairness and consistency
Conduct routine inspections of cells and common areas. Escort inmates to and from designated areas within the facility
Assist in the implementation of rehabilitative programs for inmates
Document and report any incidents or unusual behavior
Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of inmates

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Previous experience in a correctional facility is not required. All training provided
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policy and procedures accurately
Must pass a background check and drug screening
