Front Desk Clerk

What will you be doing?

  • Facilitate all transactions to ensure a positive guest experience; including greeting/welcoming all guests, check-ins/outs, effectively resolve challenging guest requests and complaints.  

  • Represent the hotel with professionalism and decorum - including remaining calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity. 

  • Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs, make corrections and adjustments throughout the shift. 

  • Input and retrieve information routinely from computer systems with electronic and numerical codes. 

  • Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.

 What you will bring to the role?

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure. 

  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.  This involves listening to the nature of concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.

  • Excellent phone etiquette skills, interpersonal, listening and communication skills to include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior hospitality and/or cash handling experience preferred.

  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a 10- key by touch, as well as being knowledgeable in accounting operations; prior exposure to Microsoft Office Experience/Excel is highly preferred. 

  • Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace. 

  • Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.
