Counselor – Substance Abuse | Full-Time
Cornerstone Treatment Facilities Network | Fresh Meadows, NY

About the Role

Cornerstone Treatment Facilities Network is looking for a compassionate, motivated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our clinical team. We are a short-term, inpatient chemical dependency treatment program for adults, known for our individualized, dignity-centered approach to recovery. What You'll Do

  • Provide individual and group counseling to adults in active recovery

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team

  • Help clients identify underlying issues and build practical coping strategies

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient progress and treatment

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals


What You Bring

  • Active credential or licensure: CASAC-T, CASAC, LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC required

  • Experience in both individual and group counseling settings

  • Proficiency with computers and basic documentation systems

  • CPR certification required prior to start

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) — a plus

  • Bilingual English/Spanish — a plus


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $54,080 – $70,000, based on credential and experience
