We are looking for individuals who are passionate about recovery, committed to helping others, and interested in growing a meaningful career in behavioral health while making a lasting impact throughout Chester County.Position SummaryThe Chester County Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) will provide recovery support services, case management, mentorship, advocacy, and linkage to care for residents throughout Chester County. This position will work collaboratively with county agencies, courts, treatment providers, recovery houses, and community stakeholders to help individuals navigate treatment, recovery, and long-term wellness through lived experience and peer support.The CRS will maintain a caseload of up to 30 clients and provide individualized recovery support services focused on increasing recovery capital, addressing social determinants of health, and supporting long-term recovery goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Certified Recovery Specialist services to individuals throughout Chester CountyMaintain an active caseload of up to 30 clientsDevelop and monitor Individual Recovery PlansComplete Recovery Capital Scales and ongoing recovery assessmentsProvide mentorship, encouragement, advocacy, and peer-based recovery support through lived experienceLink individuals to treatment services, housing, employment resources, transportation, healthcare, education, and other social determinants of health resourcesCoordinate care and maintain communication with county systems and treatment providersWork collaboratively with:Chester County Court of Common PleasDiversionary CourtsDrug CourtRecovery CourtOffice of Probation and ParoleChildren, Youth & Family Services (CYFS)Chester County Department of Human ServicesChester County Drug & AlcoholDDAP licensed county-contracted recovery housesTreatment providers and recovery support organizationsParticipate in community outreach initiatives and educational presentationsAttend outreach events that may occasionally occur during evenings and/or weekendsMaintain accurate and timely documentation and communicationRepresent MVP Recovery professionally and respectfully within the community and county systemsAdhere to MVP Recovery policies, procedures, and dress codeWork independently with autonomy while remaining connected to the CRS team and leadershipReport directly to the Certified Recovery Specialist CoordinatorQualificationsRequired:Current Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) Certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB/PCD)Strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage documentation and maintain professional correspondenceHighly motivated, dependable, and responsibleAbility to work independently and collaborativelyPassion for helping individuals and families impacted by substance use and behavioral health challengesProfessional demeanor and strong interpersonal skillsPreferred:Experience working within criminal justice, behavioral health, treatment, or recovery support systemsKnowledge of Chester County behavioral health and recovery resourcesExperience with case management and peer support servicesCRS Ethical Standards & Professional ExpectationsAll Certified Recovery Specialists must follow all Certified Recovery Specialist guidelines, ethics, and professional standards, including:Maintaining appropriate professional boundariesProtecting confidentialityFollowing all CRS code of ethics requirementsMaintaining professionalism in all interactionsDemonstrating respectful and ethical conductUpholding person-centered, recovery-oriented care principlesAll CRSs are expected to represent MVP Recovery professionally while working collaboratively with county agencies, courts, treatment providers, recovery houses, community stakeholders, and the individuals and families we serve throughout Chester County.Benefits & CompensationMVP Recovery offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including:PPO Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceCompany Matching IRA PlanLife InsuranceTuition Discount Program at Widener UniversityCompetitive Paid Time Off (PTO)Career growth and advancement opportunitiesSupportive team culture and leadershipWhy Join MVP Recovery?MVP Recovery is dedicated to removing barriers, increasing access to treatment and recovery support, and changing lives throughout the region.
