Job description

VCS is looking for a Corn Sorter for one of our client in Rushville IN 46173

Contract: 2+ Months (with possible extension as required)

Pay: $15.89/hr (no shift differential)
-* Incentives:* Eligible for a $500 end of harvest attendance bonus
Weekly Schedule: Harvest hours run Monday -Sunday 6:30am to approximately 6:30pm - No Shift work for this role
Schedule will be provided by Supervisors. Will get at least 1 day off per week. (Could possibly be limited to 40 hours IF a full team gets hired).

Specific requirement: Long periods of standing or sitting; good eye sight, reliable transportation & attendance
- Closed toe shoes required

Description:
Responsibilities include overseeing corn sorting at individual sorting conveyers. Sorters will play a large role in the dehusking process by determining good versus bad quality corn, distinguish defects and appropriately remove product from conveyor belts.

- Spanish/English speaking workers okay to hire.
- Dress Code: Must have closed toe shoes. Steel to/composite toe are not requirement
-Long pants (no capri’s)
-Short sleeve shirts are fine.
- PPE:
-Side shields will be given for prescription glasses.
-Gloves and regular safety glasses will be provided.
