Corgi information

What are Corgis?

Corgis are a small breed of herding dog that originated in Wales. They are known for their short legs, long bodies, and expressive faces. There are two main breeds: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Corgis are intelligent, energetic, and affectionate, making them popular pets. They are also famous for their association with the British royal family.

What is the difference between Corgi vs Dog Trainer?

AspectCorgiDog Trainer
Required CredentialsBasic obedience training, breed knowledgeCertification in dog training, experience
Work EnvironmentHome, outdoor, pet storesTraining facilities, client homes, shelters
Industry UsagePet owners, breeders, sheltersPet owners, shelters, kennels

The main difference is that a Corgi is a dog breed, while a Dog Trainer is a professional who trains dogs, including breeds like Corgis. Corgis are pets known for herding and companionship, whereas Dog Trainers focus on teaching dogs obedience and behavior. While Corgis may be trained by Dog Trainers, the two roles serve different purposes in the pet industry.

What are some common challenges faced by a Corgi in a herding environment?

Corgis, known for their intelligence and agility, often face challenges such as managing larger livestock, staying focused amid distractions, and avoiding injury due to their short stature. They must quickly adapt to changing herd movements and work closely with both humans and other dogs. Regular training, clear communication with handlers, and teamwork are essential for a Corgi to succeed and thrive in a herding role.

Job description

About the job

Alongside Corgi, we operate an MSO that supports adjacent legal practices. Bulldog Trial Lawyers is one of those practices as a plaintiff-side employment firm that is looking for its first litigators and partners. The firm is backed with capital and an operations team of the MSO.

We need our first litigators.

The candidate will be crucial to growing the practice. We expect you to take cases now and mentor associates as we add them. We do not expect you to handle marketing, tech, or payroll. We handle everything non-legal.

The first attorneys we hire get favorable draw, equity and bonus packages. Experience gained in building out the firm in the first few months will be priceless and put you head and shoulders above the 10th or 100th litigator we hire. Comp is structured around a guaranteed draw plus contingency participation — uncapped.

Geography is flexible. We open the office where you are. AZ, NV, NY, NJ, MA, WA, TN, GA, FL, CO — all on the table.

Who we want.

  • Plaintiff employment litigator with experience in discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, harassment, wage & hour.

  • The ability to take a case from intake through trial or settlement without hand-holding.

  • 3+ years preferred; will consider 2 years for the right candidate.

  • Active bar in any US jurisdiction.

  • If you've built your own firm before - you will have unmatched support and resources this time.

What we offer.

  • Guaranteed draw — $200k with contingency-fee participation targeting $250,000+ all-in compensation.

  • Equity.

  • Full back-office: intake, marketing, case management platform, paralegal support, IT, IOLTA, billing. Support in everything you could need to be successful and grow the practice with us.

If you work in employment law and want to be part of the most ambitious firm in the nation, apply.
