Job description

Job Title: Core Java Developer

Location: New York City, NY

Duration: Fulltime

Job Description:

The Client is seeking a technically oriented individual to join the Securities Finance technology team. Primary focus on this role would be to design, develop, and support a brand-new initiative (Arranged Financing) buildout for securities Finance team. The individual will also be involved in minor enhancements to the current Securities Finance platform. This role is based in NY, and team require the candidate to be onsite 3 days a week with no exceptions.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • This role entails hands-on coding responsibilities in Java and related frameworks.
  • Develop, test, and maintain multiple Securities Finance foundation and functional products.
  • Working closely with technology leads to Implement functional components for the project that contribute to the Sec Fin product suite.
  • Work closely with the business stakeholders for Arranged Financing product rollouts and partake in user support. Contribute to the DevOps stream as a part of the product buildout and adhere to the CI/CD protocols.
  • Maintain and enhance support documentation.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • 6-12 years of coding experience in core Java, Spring framework and messaging framework
  • Experience building distributed and enterprise application.
  • Strong SQL/MySQL knowledge, experience with Redis, Kafka, Snowflake is a plus.
  • Jira, Bit Bucket & Bamboo, CI/CD & DevOps, GitHub Copilot understanding is a plus.
  • AWS working experience is a desired.
  • Understanding of Securities Finance/Prime Brokerage, preferably with prior experience in this or a related area.

  • Ability to run projects independently collaborating with other technology peers (i.e. Prime Brokerage Technology Team).
