OverviewWorking at Arkansas Federal Credit Union

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The primary function of this position is to provide support for the core processing system and related systems and applications. The Core Systems Analyst (CSA) will support the activities of the IT department and Desktop Support, coordinating required service and technical support for core-based systems utilizing system and organizational knowledge to facilitate problem resolution. This position is responsible for supporting accurate and timely processing (i.e. daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly) as wells as the overall configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and continuous improvement of the core system. Additionally, the Core System Analyst may serve as the technical resource for various projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage and implement new releases of the core system software. Ensure that the new features are communicated and fully utilized. Coordinate the development of training material and the delivery of training with the Organizational Development department. Manage the production, test and training environments.2. Configure system and product specifications ensuring optimized system functionality and efficiency.3. Resolve core system related issues as reported working closely with various vendors as needed. Monitor work orders to be sure that user requests are addressed, escalated as appropriate and resolved in a timely manner.4. Analyze core system software as well as related systems and applications to reconcile operational ability with the needs of the credit union ensuring the system is being used to its fullest potential. Determine and recommend solutions that could increase operational efficiency.

5. Perform impact analysis for potential new solutions affecting the core system and ensure change control environment is properly adhered to.6. Administer user roles, profiles and access settings.7. Act as technical resource for any in-house development or enhancements of the core system and other ancillary systems.8. Serve as the subject matter expert for projects related to the applications, such as third party integrations, SSOs and APIs.9. Update and maintain policies and procedures related to the core system.10. Participate in core system user groups and network with peer organizations.11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate. Basic knowledge and understanding of core system and other ancillary system maintenance requirements from Fiserv (such as DNA, Automic, OpCon)
