We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team at Core Orthopedic Therapy Clinic located in vibrant Oakland, California. This full-time position is primarily onsite at our outpatient clinic in Oakland. You will work in a modern facility equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment. Our clinic promotes a team-oriented atmosphere, encouraging open communication and cooperation among staff. Scheduled hours typically encompass 40 hours per week, with some variable weekend shifts as needed.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, functional limitations, and disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and patient-specific goals.
• Provide ongoing consultation to other healthcare providers about patients’ treatment progress and care continuum.
• Effectively educate patients and their families about treatment plans, rehabilitation processes, and home exercise programs.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and operational metrics, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Participate actively in clinic leadership functions such as community outreach initiatives, quality improvement projects, and program development.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including physical therapy assistants and aides, ensuring high standards of care and professionalism.
• Attend team meetings, contribute to continuing education, and engage in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.

Your practice will involve working with a diverse patient demographic ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to older adults managing chronic conditions. You will adapt your approach to accommodate patients of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical.
• Proficient in word processing and electronic documentation systems.

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
• Experience in supervising junior staff or students is a plus.
