Job description

Sartorius has a position for a Field Application Specialist, candidates for this remote based position will provide high-level, in-depth technical support and expertise to customers using Sartorius BioAnalytics products (specifically the Incucyte live-cell analysis systems) and pre-sales support to sales colleagues throughout the sales process. This includes on-site pre-sale presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training.

The idea candidate will be located in New York, NY or Boston, MA.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • Work with sales colleagues to drive sales and use of Sartorius Incucyte instruments, reagents, consumables, and software modules.

  • Identify customer needs and/or problems, be knowledgeable in all related products, and introduce solutions to needs/problems where appropriate.

  • Perform product demonstrations by establishing a detailed experimental planand setting appropriate and reasonable expectations. Identify necessary reagents and guide customers through experimental optimization and execution. Help with assay set-up and train relevant lab personnel.

  • Work with established and new customers: Conduct on-site training and remote support sessions of the Incucyte instrumentation and software. Support ongoing assays and stay engaged with users to drive expansion into new application areas using Sartorius technology.

  • Collect customer feedback to drive new product development.

  • You will be expected to maintain diligent records of customer interactions and training in the CRM database.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

  • Expect up to 15% overnight travel on business days.

What will convince us:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Science Biology or related field.

  • 2+ years of field experience in a similar application scientist/technical support role OR combination of lab experience with customer support roles (e.g., work in core lab facilities).

  • 2+ years of experience training lab personnel in using instruments and software.

  • Extensive experience in cell biology, cell culture, microscopy techniques and image analysis.

  • Experience with immune oncology, organoid-based assays, and/or image-based viability assays preferred.

  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
