Work Environment

The physical therapist will operate within our vibrant outpatient office in Bakersfield, California. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Copperfield Orthopedic Rehab Clinic, you will:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate their physical condition, functional abilities, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with the physician and healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at achieving specific rehabilitation goals.
  • Administer appropriate therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, ensuring each patient receives top-notch care tailored to their unique needs.
  • Oversee the delivery of physical therapy throughout various stages of the patient’s recovery, effectively transitioning patients from acute care to outpatient rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries, including sports injuries, joint replacements, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with individuals of varying ages, helping them to regain strength, mobility, and independence through dedicated rehabilitation efforts.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of California.
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient advocacy.
Preferred Experience
  • While no prior experience is required, any practical exposure to orthopedic rehabilitation through internships or clinical placements will be highly valued.
  • Experience implementing evidence-based practices in physical therapy is an advantage.
