Job description

Job Requirements

Position Summary

Responsible for coordination of construction and renovation projects to SRHS facilities. Demonstrates leadership ability and gives direction to sub-contractors on assigned projects. 

Minimum Requirements

Education           

·        High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience        

·        3 years Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Construction experience

 

License/Registration/Certifications       

·        N/A

 

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Education      

·        Two years business/technical college

·        Associate's degree

Preferred Experience   

·        10 Years in the Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Construction fields

 

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications   

·        Current Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or General Contractors License

Core Job Responsibilities

·        Responsible for ensuring the established project schedule is met for each assigned project. This includes scheduling subcontractors to be onsite to perform their scopes and coordinating material ordering and deliveries.

·        Responsible for managing the established project budget to ensure the overall project cost stays within the set budget. This includes the entry and tracking of any project change orders, and daily manpower needs. 

·        Responsible for maintaining the quality of the finished project to standards set by the system.

·        Responsible for sub workflow and daily coordination with design issues including writing and tracking RFIs and execution of architectural and engineering responses to those RFIs. This includes MEP subs as well as all GC related subs

·        Responsible for creating and then coordinating completion of punch lists for each trade at the end of each project.

·        Coordinates shutdowns for services affected by assigned renovation projects with the Facilities staff on each campus to ensure that no adverse effects to patient care services arise.

·        Assures that all employees and contractors are meeting all safety guidelines and using proper personal protective equipment. Holds safety meetings for the jobsite on an as needed basis and coordinates orientation for all subcontractors.

·        Comply with DPH, DNV, CMS, OSHA, City Inspectors, and other inspections for the entire system.

·        Supports departmental core function by “providing for the comfort and safety of patients, staff, visitors and others entering our facility.”

·        Supports Strategic initiatives related to improving Press Ganey scores. 

·        Supports departmental initiatives related to building team morale.

·        Other duties as assigned
