Short Description
  • Receive inbound and making outbound calls regarding outstanding bills, payments, payment plans and billing questions.
  • Use excellent customer service and communication skills to resolve confrontations with antagonistic patients and/or clinical staff in order to properly coordinate continuity of care.
  • Contact patients and collect self-pay balances after insurance.
  • Exhibit professionalism, have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Process and distribute patient payments between the hospital and physician bills and initiate payment plans.
  • Work to resolution escalated Patient Relations issues
  • Use all available eligibility tools, including initiating calls to insurance companies to verify benefits assigned to claims and submit "next steps" to Hospital/Physician follow-up teams for reconciliation
  • Deliver an exceptional experience to patients. 
Experience Required

Minimum experience within a Customer Service, Contact Center or scheduling environment, preferably within a Healthcare environment.  

Experience in or knowledge of any of the following is preferred: central scheduling, medical terminology, insurance verification, registration, or hospital/physician office.

Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
