Description: The Sushi Cook is a skilled culinary professional dedicated to preparing exquisite sushi rolls with precision and artistry. Working closely with the Chef and other kitchen staff, they contribute to the creation of visually stunning and delicious sushi rolls. In addition to their primary duties, Sushi Cooks assist with various tasks in the back of the house, including doing prep, work other kitchen lines, dishwashing and cleaning if needed, to maintain a sanitary and efficient kitchen environment. It's important to note that Sushi Cooks do not earn tips but are valued for their contributions to culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including slicing fish, rolling sushi rice, and assembling sushi rolls with precision and creativity.
  • Work closely with the Chef to ensure all sushi dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi bar area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock and storage of ingredients.
  • Help with general kitchen duties, including dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces.
