As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious meals that nourish our patients and residents.

About the Role:

As a Cook with our team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving a variety of foods, including baking rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies. You will also work on the tray line during meal service, ensuring that our patients and residents receive exceptional culinary care. Additionally, you will be responsible for general kitchen cleaning, hand washing and sanitizing of pots and pans, and related work as required.

Requirements:

  • Certification in healthcare cooking (ServSafe)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale cooking

  • Strong knowledge of large-scale & therapeutic food prep

  • Ability to do some physical work

  • Strong team player with excellent customer service and communication skills

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Ability to manage the kitchen in the absence of the food service director
