SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Spirit Mountain Recreation Area is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Cook to join our food service team for the Riverside Bar and Grill @ Grand Ave Chalet. The Cook will work alongside other cooks or independently (if hired as a Lead Cook), preparing food for guests, and managing the grill during busy periods. This role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, especially during large surges on peak days. The Cook plays an essential role in ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and in compliance with health standards, while maintaining a positive guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare food using a variety of kitchen equipment, including grills, convection ovens, deep-fryers, industrial electric mixers, and large kitchen vats.
  • Cook and prepare large quantities of food for peak days and events.
  • Manage food preparation during high-traffic periods, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Follow all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards.
  • Use facility supplies and equipment responsibly to minimize waste, loss, and fraud.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during food preparation, using critical thinking skills.
  • Promote and maintain a friendly and upbeat experience for customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
  • Must attend work as scheduled and be reliable during peak periods such as weekends and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
