Location: Forno Osteria & Bar Montgomery


This is as close as it gets without taking a plane. Our handcrafted menu is rustic and comforting. We have sourced the highest quality local and imported Italian ingredients we could find. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality menu items while maintaining the standards of authentic Italian cuisine. This role works closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, and kitchen team to ensure dishes are prepared accurately, efficiently, and presented to the restaurantโ€™s quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.

  • Work with fresh ingredients, including handmade pasta and traditional Italian dishes.

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service (mise en place).

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.

  • Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

  • Assist with food prep, portioning, and inventory rotation.

  • Ensure dishes meet restaurant quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.

  • Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing storage areas.
