Conversion Rate Optimisation information

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in Conversion Rate Optimisation roles?

One common challenge in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) is balancing quick wins with long-term strategic improvements, as stakeholders often expect immediate results from experiments and A/B tests. Additionally, CRO specialists frequently need to navigate conflicting opinions between marketing, design, and development teams while ensuring that data-driven recommendations are implemented effectively. Another challenge is obtaining sufficient traffic and statistically significant results, which can limit the speed and confidence of decision-making. Successful CRO professionals thrive by communicating clearly, prioritizing impactful tests, and fostering a culture of experimentation within their organizations.

What is Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)?

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) is the process of increasing the percentage of website visitors who take a desired action, such as making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or filling out a form. This is achieved by analyzing user behavior, testing different website elements, and implementing changes to improve user experience and encourage conversions. CRO involves strategies like A/B testing, improving website design, optimizing calls to action, and minimizing barriers to conversion. The ultimate goal is to maximize the effectiveness of a website and increase return on investment from existing traffic.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Conversion Rate Optimisation Specialist, you need strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of digital marketing principles, and experience with A/B testing and data interpretation, often supported by a relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Optimizely, Hotjar, and other CRO platforms is typically required. Excellent communication, creativity, and problem-solving abilities help you collaborate with teams and design effective experiments. These skills are vital for increasing website conversions, enhancing user experience, and driving business growth through data-driven decisions.

Job description

If you’re looking for a career opportunity — keep reading.

We need you to build the Future of CONVERT at InnoVision Marketing Group

At InnoVision Marketing Group — The Anti-Agency™ — we are building something very different.

CONVERT is not a traditional marketing role, and this is not a typical optimization position.

We are building a revenue and performance division focused on what happens after the Pinch-Point — the critical moment where attention either becomes revenue… or disappears.

We already know how to create demand.

Now we are building the division that maximizes it.

We are extremely selective in our new hires.

We are looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial growth operator who can help build CONVERT from the ground up alongside leadership. This person must be capable of owning the entire bottom of the hourglass initially — from conversion optimization and funnel performance to KPI accountability, lifecycle growth, automation, retention, and revenue expansion.

This is a tremendous opportunity for the right self-starter.

You won’t be stepping into a fully built department.

You’ll help build it.

If you’re the type of person who sees broken funnels, weak conversion paths, poor follow-through, or inefficient customer journeys and instinctively starts solving them in your head… keep reading.

What You’ll Own:
  • Diagnose conversion leakage and performance bottlenecks across the customer journey
  • Improve KPIs tied directly to revenue, including conversion rate, CPA, ROAS, AOV, LTV, retention, and funnel efficiency
  • Build, optimize, and manage funnels, automations, workflows, and conversion systems
  • Develop and improve landing pages, forms, nurture sequences, booking flows, offers, and customer journeys
  • Analyze behavioral data, attribution, funnel progression, and campaign performance to identify growth opportunities
  • Own testing initiatives including A/B testing, UX optimization, messaging refinement, and funnel experimentation
  • Work directly with leadership, creative, paid media, development, and strategy teams to improve performance across the entire conversion ecosystem
  • Present findings, opportunities, and optimization strategies clearly and confidently
  • Operate with urgency, accountability, and ownership over measurable business outcomes
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience improving performance KPIs tied directly to revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of conversion optimization, funnels, lifecycle marketing, automation, and customer journey strategy
  • Ability to identify problems quickly, prioritize effectively, and execute independently
  • Experience with platforms such as GoHighLevel, Shopify, GA4, CRM systems, and automation tools
  • Strong analytical thinking combined with practical execution ability
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and handson
  • Ability to thrive in a fastmoving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Calm, confident communicator who can defend decisions with logic, data, and business reasoning
  • Someone who wants to build something meaningful — not just complete assigned tasks
  • The right person that aligns with our amazing, friendly, and inclusive one-team culture … and buys into it

    What This Role Is NOT

    This is not:
  • a pure copywriting role
  • a passive analyst position
  • a taskmanagement role
  • a siloed media buying position
  • This role is for someone who knows a great opportunity when there see one and wants ownership over growth outcomes and wants to help build a high-performance division inside one of San Diego’s most dynamic marketing brands.

    Why This Opportunity Is Different

At InnoVision, high performers are given real opportunity, real ownership, and real visibility.

CONVERT is a major strategic initiative for our organization, and the person stepping into this role will have the opportunity to help shape the systems, standards, and future direction of the division and the team as it grows.

We believe in promoting from within. Every member of InnoVision’s management team earned their role through performance, leadership, accountability, and growth inside the organization.

If you’re looking for a role where you can build a career and enjoy it at the same time, help build something meaningful, influence real business outcomes, and grow alongside an ambitious vision, we want to hear from you.

PLEASE NOTE: InnoVision is a firm believer of promoting from within, which provides tremendous opportunity for your career advancement. We demonstrate this with the statement that every team member of InnoVision’s management team has advanced to their current positions of Directors and Vice Presidents through promotions.

Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

InnoVision LLC is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, religious creed (including religious dress and grooming practices), national origin, ancestry, citizenship, physical or mental disability, medical condition (including cancer and genetic characteristics), genetic information, marital status, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, or related medical conditions), gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, veteran and/or military status, protected medical leaves (requesting or approved for leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act or the California Family Rights Act), domestic violence victim status, reproductive health decision-making, political affiliation, and/or any other status protected by state or federal law, and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability. We are committed to providing a workplace that is inclusive and welcoming to all individuals, regardless of their background or beliefs.
