optek-Danulat is a business within the Fluid Handling Business Segment of Crane Co, a US multi-national which specializes in highly engineered products in niche markets. optek-Danulat designs, manufactures, markets and distributes a range of specialized instrumentation for a wide range of applications in a number of industries including the food and beverage, oil & gas, refinery, chemical, biopharmaceutical, and energy industries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Inside Sales Representative to support customer service, quotation, and order entry activities during a period of operational integration. This role is critical to ensuring accurate order processing, strong customer communication, and alignment with internal processes and controls.

Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Answer and manage incoming calls on the main customer service line, screen inquiries, and direct to appropriate internal teams
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses. Prepare and revise customer quotations based on inputs from Sales, established pricing rules, and product knowledge
  • Convert approved quotations into orders using QuoteWerks
  • Enter and process customer orders in Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Route completed orders to order processing or back to Sales when purchase order revisions are required
  • Prepare and revise customer quotations based on inputs from Sales, established pricing rules, and product knowledge
  • Convert approved quotations into orders using QuoteWerks
  • Enter and process customer orders in Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Route completed orders to order processing or back to Sales when purchase order revisions are required
  • Ensure all customer, pricing, and order data is accurately recorded and maintained in company systems (QuoteWerks, Sage 50)
  • Maintain proper documentation to support transactions and ensure audit readiness
  • Provide backup support to production and order processing teams as needed

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve order or customer-related issues

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar Technical degree required. Ideal candidate has a career interest in Outside Technical Sales.
  • Experience in customer service, order management, or inside sales support preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy experience with ERPs preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred

Exposure to structured processes or controlled environments (SOX awareness is a plus) preferred
