About the Role

The Sales Engineer Coordinator Team’s focus is to assist customers with their needs both internal and external customers. The Sales Engineer Coordinator works with multiple departments within the company and other local branches to assist with orders, updates, or solutions to various needs. Multiple departments depend on the Sales Engineer team to answer questions and to assist functionally outside the realm of their knowledge. As the industry grows, we strive to meet and keep up with changes to accommodate our customers’ needs. The Sales Engineer Coordinator will also be tasked to learn new products; general training is provided to all staff as needed on the technical functionality of specific products.

Requirements
  • Associated Degree required; Bachelors in Business, Technical Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, technical sales support, inside sales, estimating, project coordination, or a related role in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment preferred.
  • Experience in elevator or automotive field preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical information, product specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
  • Exceptional work ethic, time management, organizational skills, be able to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; experience with ERP, CRM, or Salesforce systems is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships, operate in a team environment, and deliver outstanding customer service while managing challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate quotations and sales orders for customers across the United States and international markets, ensuring timely processing and attention to detail.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone and email, responding to inquiries regarding products, pricing, order status, lead times, and technical information.
  • Review and interpret customer requirements, specifications, and drawings to identify the appropriate products, components, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Technical Support, and other internal departments to resolve customer inquiries and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Assist customers in identifying replacement parts, compatible products, and system solutions by utilizing technical documentation, product knowledge, and internal resources.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues involving shortages, damaged shipments, incorrect parts, warranty concerns, or order discrepancies. Document customer interactions and case resolutions using Salesforce CRM.
  • Monitor active orders and provide proactive updates to customers regarding production schedules, shipping status, and any potential delays.
  • Operate with limited supervision and perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

  • 10% of the time may be spent on the manufacturing floor.
