Overview
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for implementation, training, oversight and conducting Project Controls related practices for multiple projects across the company's operational groups. 
 
Location: This position is primarily posted in Centennial, CO but can be located at or near any of our office locations: Fargo, ND, Indianapolis, IN, Centennial, CO, or Phoenix, AZ. If located within 30 minutes from an office location, we work an onsite schedule. Based on the experience and skill set of the individual identified, we are open to a remote-based role with ability to travel to our office locations to support events or department activities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Effectively communicate project scope, plan and progress to all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Provide management and training to project controls personnel on project controls functions, processes, tools and procedures
  • Provide guidance to project management on project controls analysis, trends, performance, forecasting, Time Impact Analysis, and claims
  • Coordinate resources and participants engaged in the Project Controls activities
  • Compile, review and analyze project controls related data and interface with upper management and project teams on results and provide innovative solutions to scheduling & cost performance
  • Lead project reviews on actual performance, budgets, change management forecasting, progress and schedule performance
  • Develop practices and procedures as directed
  • Assist/train project management in use of PM/Controls tools
  • Works independently on complex assignments
  • Complete performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of related experience in project controls or cost scheduling and planning
  • 2+ years of CPM schedule integration, or Cost Control and managing personnel
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience within large scale construction and/or EPC environments prefer; experinece within utility scale renewables environments highly desired 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments
