What is a controls foreman?

Controls Foremen are supervisory professionals who oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of building automation and control systems, such as HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems. They manage teams of technicians, coordinate project schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Controls Foremen also troubleshoot system issues, provide technical guidance, and act as a liaison between project managers and field staff. Their expertise ensures that automated building systems operate efficiently and reliably.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a controls foreman?

To thrive as a Controls Foreman, you need a solid background in electrical systems, automation, and HVAC controls, typically supported by technical training or relevant certifications.
