JOB OVERVIEW
Reports to: FacilitiesManager
TheFacilities Technician is responsible for keeping the outdoor areas of theResort neat, clean and attractively landscaped. He/she is also responsible for assisting with pool cleaning as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • MUST HAVE VALID US DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH GOOD DRIVING RECORD
  • Read, write, speak and understand English
  • Experience in landscaping or pool cleaning helpful, but not required
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, emergency, preventative maintenance systems and all related engineering disciplines.

We will be providing all our guests in alloutlets with amazing levels of service to meet or exceed their expectations.You must be sure that consistency of service and standards are met.
FINANCIAL: Assistyour immediate supervisor to manage the department within budget. Assist all your managers to accuratelyforecast revenues/expenses. Assist the team to prepare annual departmentalbudget that accurately reflects the departmentâ€'s operations plan. Assist yourmanagers and supervisors in anticipating revenue/cost problems and reportingdiscrepancies to your immediate managers. Assist the team in ensuring thedepartment staff is trained in control procedures as outlined by your managers.Follow controls for all purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation, etc. Keepwaste to a minimum by planning actions and strategies that reduce damage, theftor other factors that cause costs to rise.
PEOPLE: Treat theteam according to the resortâ€'s values. Assist with the training of the resortteam and recognition programs to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.Emphasize training and development as a way of doing business in order toempower employees to successfully perform their jobs. Help to develop talent by acting as a mentor. Useongoing safety plan to minimize workers’ compensation claims. Train staff toincrease level of guestâ€'s sales, service and safety skills on an ongoing basis.
QUALITY: you will be trained to know the generaloperations of department and how all resort departments work together toachieve business objectives and to meet guests’ expectations. Know the commonlyoccurring challenges of the department and how to overcome them. You will beasked to know department operations standards for your department. You will beheld accountable for consistently meeting these standards. You will beassisting in managing the preventive maintenance program for allequipment. You need to meet all of oursafety and sanitation standards such as Emergency Plan, CPR/Heimlich/AED,Lockout/Tagout training for all employees, proper storage of equipment, andstoring chemicals away from other products.
Assist in managingour resort: you will be asked to assist all our managers and specifically the FacilitiesManager in preparing the department budget and maximizing department resourcesto contribute to the successful achievement of the budget. You will be asked to assist in identifyingmajor revenue and expense opportunities and possible problems. You need to besure we are keeping our repair costs down by maintaining equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Approach all encounters with guests, owners and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with our Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort standards, as required by scheduling which will varies according to the needs of the resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
  • Comply at all times with Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
  • Follow all resort and departmental procedures and policies.
  • Report emergencies and unusual situations immediately according to policy.
  • Handle all assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and helpfulness at all times.
  • Assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Employees must, at all times, be friendly, courteous, and helpful to guests, employees and managers.
  • Cut grass, trim shrubs, plant flowers and bushes in order to maintain an attractive property.
  • Remove trash from all areas by hand or by emptying trash containers.
  • Point out and assist with eliminating safety concerns.
  • Assist in maintenance of health code requirements for pool and spa.
  • Complete assigned maintenance work order forms daily.
  • Use proper two way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
  • Assist with grounds and landscaping tasks.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
