Weโ€™re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the design and development of custom HVAC systems used in mission-critical environments. This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering and manufacturing organization where your work directly impacts production, installation, and customer success.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving practical engineering challenges, collaborating across departments, and designing systems that actually get built.


What you'll do:

  • Design and revise custom HVAC systems, assemblies, and fabrication drawings
  • Create accurate, production-ready drawing packages using SolidWorks
  • Collaborate with systems, controls, electrical, production, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support real-world manufacturability and installation feasibility
  • Assist with component selection, layouts, and engineering documentation
  • Utilize and maintain PDM systems, revision control, and engineering records
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related production or installation challenges
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives


What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of design engineering experience
  • HVAC industry experience required
  • Must obtain & maintain obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship and background check.
  • Strong SolidWorks or similar CAD experience
  • Experience working with PDM systems and engineering documentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to problem solve, communicate effectively, and work cross-functionally
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field highly preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary $80,000 - $95,000, annually
