Lighting Controls Applications Specialist

The Opportunity

Join one of the fastest-growing segments of the commercial lighting industry. As a Lighting Controls Applications Specialist at PSA, you will be the technical backbone of our Systems & Controls Team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-energy sales culture and enjoys the challenge of turning complex engineering drawings into functional, code-compliant control systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • System Design & Documentation: Create comprehensive lighting control submittals and construction sets using AutoCAD and Bluebeam, ensuring all designs meet the project’s specific sequence of operations.
  • Analysis & Take-offs: Review engineering drawings and specifications to perform accurate material take-offs and design-intent assessments.
  • Quoting & Project Tracking: Produce timely, accurate quotations and maintain up-to-date documentation through project changes.
  • Compliance & Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of IECC, ASHRAE, and Title 24 energy codes, as well as the latest manufacturer product lines.
  • Project Communication: Utilize Basecamp to log all communications and project updates, ensuring seamless teamwork.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Electrical Knowledge: A solid grasp of basic electrical systems in commercial applications and the ability to interpret complex electrical schematics.
