Job description

Overview
At Titan Asset Management Group, we believe exceptional hospitality starts with strong operational and financial stewardship. The Controller serves as a strategic finance partner for our portfolio of hotels, ensuring financial integrity while supporting leaders in making informed business decisions that enhance the guest experience and drive long-term success.
This role provides leadership across accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, payroll oversight, and compliance for assigned hotel properties and shared financial services. The Controller works collaboratively with hotel leadership and corporate teams to deliver accurate financial information, strengthen operational performance, and support Titan's mission of transforming spaces into safe and welcoming places where people experience memorable hospitality and cherish the moments that matter.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned hotel properties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor financial performance, operating trends, and forecasts while providing meaningful insights and recommendations to hotel leadership.
  • Lead monthly financial reviews, identifying variances, opportunities, and risks.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain fixed asset, prepaid expense, and other balance sheet schedules, including related journal entries.
  • Prepare and review intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

Accounting Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with USALI, GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review sales and use tax, occupancy tax, and other required filings.
  • Support internal and external financial audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and continuously improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support insurance administration and property tax reporting for assigned properties.

Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with General Managers and department leaders to strengthen financial performance and operational decision-making.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis.
  • Monitor hotel credit activities, billing, collections, and cash flow performance.
  • Provide financial guidance and operational support that enables hotel leaders to achieve profitability while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Payroll & Expense Administration
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, payroll journal entries, and related reconciliations.
  • Manage corporate credit card administration and travel & expense reporting to ensure policy compliance and timely processing.

Leadership & Development
  • Train and support hotel leaders and team members on accounting policies, financial procedures, and internal controls.
  • Foster collaboration across hotel operations and corporate finance to improve efficiency, consistency, and service.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence consistent with Titan's THRIVE values.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, preferably within hospitality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines.

Preferred
  • Hospitality management company experience.
  • Experience with financial systems such as M3, Blackline, PMS, and POS systems.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or business units.

Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support month-end close, audits, business needs, or special projects, which may occasionally require evenings or weekends. This is an on-site role and not remote at this time.
Salary range of $80,000 - $110,000
