About the Role
The Server is an hourly, non-exempt position within the Food & Beverage department at HeadPinz and FastTrax Entertainment Centers across all locations. This role is responsible for providing food and beverage service within a safe, compliant, and well-controlled environment. Primary emphasis is placed on alcohol compliance, responsible service, guest safety, and risk prevention while delivering timely and professional service. Servers are expected to actively monitor guest behavior, enforce alcohol laws, and maintain clean, hazard-free service areas at all times.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safety, Alcohol Compliance & Risk Prevention (Primary Responsibility)
  • Strictly comply with all federal, state, and local alcohol service laws and company alcohol compliance policies.
  • Verify guest age through proper identification prior to alcohol service and refuse service when required.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and behavior to prevent over-service or unsafe situations.
  • Enforce all food and beverage safety standards, including proper handling, carrying, and service procedures.
  • Identify, report, and immediately address unsafe conditions such as spills, broken glass, overcrowding, or guest misconduct.
  • Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and assist with emergency response situations as trained.

Guest Service & Controlled Hospitality
  • Greet guests promptly and professionally at lanes, tables, bar areas, or designated service zones.
  • Present menus, explain offerings, and answer questions while setting clear expectations regarding service policies.
  • Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently while maintaining a controlled, safe service environment.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints while prioritizing safety, policy enforcement, and compliance.
  • Escalate safety or alcohol-related issues to management immediately.

Operations, POS & Cash Controls
  • Accurately operate POS systems in accordance with company cash-handling and transaction policies.
  • Ensure all food and beverage sales are properly entered and closed out.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, and vouchers responsibly to protect company assets.
  • Follow tip reporting and checkout procedures as required.

Cleanliness & Food Safety Standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, lanes, service stations, and surrounding areas.
  • Remove empty glassware, plates, and trash promptly to prevent hazards.
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with side work, restocking, and cleaning duties to support overall facility safety.

Teamwork, Training & Accountability
  • Support bartenders, kitchen staff, and other departments to maintain safe service flow.
  • Participate in required alcohol certification, safety training, and ongoing education.
  • Follow all written SOPs, checklists, and service standards.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and responsible service.

Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must meet minimum legal age requirements to serve alcohol.
  • Professional appearance with strong communication and situational awareness skills.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying trays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume entertainment and food service environment.
