Job Locations: US-VA-Sterling

Type: Regular Full-Time
The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role focuses on execution, accuracy, and maintaining efficient financial processes. 

This is a Hybrid  position; applicants must reside in or near Sterling, VA.


Responsibilities 

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports 

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes 

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts 

  • Review financial transactions for accuracy 

  • Assist with internal and external audits 

  • Help enforce accounting policies and compliance standards 

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities 

  • Improve accounting workflows and internal controls 

  • Supervise or assist with junior accounting staff 
     

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 

  • CPA (or progress toward certification) preferred 

  • 3–7+ years of accounting experience
